Pastor Vernon or better known as PJones is a passionate preacher, teacher, visionary leader and compassionate servant for the glory of God and the good of others. Born and raised in Colorado, he is a proud graduate of Aurora's Rangeview High School and continued his undergraduate and graduate education at Colorado Christian University, Denver Seminary, and Georgetwon University. He calls himself a "forever student."
He has given his life to lifting the lives of others within and through the local church, through schools, and in partnership with community. He believes
that we experience life to the max when we align all that we are with God, Who loves us without limits!
He has been in ministry since 1993 and served in Pastoral capacities since 1998, including Senior Pastor of Kinship Church (2003-2014). Associate Pastor
of True Light Baptist Church (2014-2018), Executive Pastor at Restoration Christian Fellowship (2018-2020), and back to leading Kinship (2020-present). He is excited about new doors that the Lord is
opening!
Outside of the local church, PJones is active in his community serving to shape the lives of young people through his work with FaithBridge and education
advocacy organizations. He believes that communities must have great schools that not only help children to become intelligent but help to shape their character so that they are equipped to make the
world a better place for all people. He was a school leader at Denver's Manual High School serving Denver families and at Omar D. Blair Charter School serving Montbello/Green Valley Ranch families.
He recently served as the Executive Director of the Northeast Denver Innovation Zone (NDIZ) with Denver Public Schools, overseeing six schools, serving nearly 5,000 students. He is the husband of Mrs. Jaymie Jones and the proud father of five fabulous children: Savanna, Nathan, Caleb, Lily, and Brooklyn.
